When you have an infant, particularly if you’re a new parent, you immediately realize the necessity and value of having your baby close to you. This is especially pronounced in the first few months of new parenthood. And if by chance you get to have twins, the urgency is suddenly multiplied.

Fortunately, today’s bassinet market offers unique products made for twins. These are comfortable, convenient, and manufactured with the intention of making the lives of moms of multiple newborns a little bit easier. The Halo Twin Bassinet is one of such products – its ingenious design makes it a perfect choice for families expecting twins.

The model has mesh walls that add breathability and allow the mom to quickly check in on the babies without having to get out of the bed. These walls can be lowered when required, but also brought back to their initial height with relative ease. There is also a nursing timer, a nightlight, two levels of vibration, three lullabies, as well as some soothing sounds.

If you need a twin bassinet that will keep both of your babies safe and sound at once, keep on reading – we’ll be taking a closer look at all of its features.

Features

Design

Made out of metal (stand), mesh (sleeping area), and plastic (dashboard), the Halo Twin Bassinet has a design that is both elegant and practical. The sleeping area rests on a stand that has a relatively small footprint, so it’s pretty easy to fit this model inside any bedroom. With Halo Twin, it’s very easy to keep the babies within your reach for care and nighttime feedings.

The top part of the model and the sleeping surface are rotatable, allowing a mother to swivel it around. As you can already guess, this makes it very easy to tend to each newborn in turns – you won’t have to get out of the bed. This comes in very handy when you need to quickly soothe one baby while feeding the other one.

Sturdy Base

The base of this model deserves particular words of praise. It’s a robust 4-point structure that makes the bassinet very stable, even when placed on a very soft carpet. It allows parents to use the model until the babies are five months old (or weighing 20 pounds each) and can be easily tucked under most beds.

Adjustable Walls

As we already mentioned, the walls of this sleeper are completely adjustable. Lowering them down and bringing them back up can be done very easily. All that a mother needs to do is to merely rest her forearms on the wall, and it will come down.

In other words, this means that you won’t have to lean over at awkward angles in order to maneuver the children in and out of the bassinet. It’s a perfect solution for moms recovering from C-section – their range of motion is quite limited.

Breathable Mesh Material

Another benefit of Halo Twin Bassinet is that its walls are made out of breathable mesh-like material. This means that there’s good airflow inside the sleeper and that a mother can easily see what her babies are doing right from the bed.

The sleeping area is separated into two separate spaces by a divider, which is made out of the same mesh-like material. It’s something that allows your newborns to sleep in their own areas while still being close to each other.

Sleeping Area

The sleeping area of this unique bassinet is quite spacious and very comfortable. Its dimensions stand at approximately 35 x 35 inches, and it’s based on two waterproof mattress pads that are combined with two fitted sheets. They are white/beige, just like the rest of the model.

Soothing Center

The “soothing center” of this twin bassinet includes things like soothing sounds, nightlight, lullabies, and vibrations. Their purpose is to assist the mom with soothing her babies, and they’re controlled through the easy-to-operate dashboard, which is located right under the sleeping area.

Each of the functions works very well and a combination of them can easily calm the babies down when they’re acting fussy. There are, for example, three different lullabies that a mom can choose from, as well as two distinct levels of vibration. A nursing timer is also included so that you don’t forget when it’s time for another feeding session, while the auto shut-off turns off these additional features after 30 minutes of activity.

What’s wrong with the product?

-Heavy when assembled

Once assembled, the Halo Twin Bassinet weighs over 50 pounds. This makes the model quite heavy and bulky, so it can be quite tricky to move it from one room to another. Unlike many other twin bassinets on the market, this one features no caster wheels.

-Relatively expensive

Once we take the model’s temporary use (up to 5 months old) into consideration, we can safely conclude that its price is relatively high. This puts it out of the reach of many parents, which is a shame as it is one of the most well-designed and practical twin sleepers out there.

Conclusion

Aside from having a design that makes it look attractive and stylish, the Halo Twin Bassinet is actually a very functional product. It makes soothing very simple with its vibrations and calming sounds, and it can quickly calm down your babies and put them to sleep.

With its walls being made out of mesh-like material and being completely adjustable, it is very easy for the mother to have an eye on her babies at all times. The 360-degree rotation makes tending to each baby effortless, while the included nursing timer reminds the mom when it’s time for feeding.

All of these features turn the model into a fantastic option for the parents of twins – Halo Twin makes the first days and nights a lot easier.
