A solid stroller that won’t break the bank. The G-lite is user-friendly, agile and durable. If you are in search of a luxury brand model that is affordable as well, this might be the model for your family.

Weighing only eleven pounds, the uppababy G-lite is excellent for running errands and carrying in public transportation. Its narrow frame lets you navigate it easily through tight and small spaces. The model is also very easy to set up; it doesn’t require any assembly once it is out of the box.

When it comes to umbrella strollers, the G-Lite really does check all the boxes. Parents who are always on the go and live in a hectic environment appreciate it a lot. On top of all of the features it has to offer, it also sports a stylish, minimalistic design.

Features

  • Canopy

The uppababy brand never disappoints when it comes to the quality of their canopies. The canopy is extendable, ensuring that your child receives full sun coverage. The SPF50+ feature protects the child from harmful UV rays.

  • Double handles

Like with most umbrella strollers, the handles are non-adjustable and are 42 inches above the ground. They are suitable for tall and average-height parents. The ergonomic handles are positioned at a convenient angle and are covered with nice soft foam.

  • Seat

The seat is very roomy and cozy. If your child is very tall for their age, they will undoubtedly feel comfortable in it. The breathable mesh seat provides enough support for any child using the stroller, but is still not suitable for infants under six months old.

Even though the seat doesn’t recline, it has a convenient footrest for additional support. It also has a five-point harness with silky, smooth straps that can be buckled easily. The shoulder straps can easily be adjusted and slide into place without any difficulties.

Another impressive feature – the seat has an incredibly high weight limit of 55 pounds, which is even more than some heavy duty models have. When you are not with your kid, you can use it as a cart while you are on a shopping spree. You might get some silly looks, but the convenience is worth it. In case your child makes a mess, or another mishap occurs, the seat padding is removable. You can easily take it off and throw it into the washing machine.

  • Storage

A decent-sized basket is difficult to find on an umbrella stroller, so it is nice to see that the G-Lite has one. The basket can hold up to ten pounds, which is almost the weight of the whole buggy. You can basically fit another G-Lite in it.

The under-seat basket can hold a medium size diaper bag and can be easily accessed from all sides. If you are in need of more room, you can hang a couple of smaller items on the handles without worrying about the whole thing tipping over.

Most parents will be happy to see the cup holder located on the right handle. The cup holder is removable too. You can get an additional organizer that is sold separately.

  • Wheels and Suspension

The model features four double wheels of equal size, with front wheels being swiveling and lockable. The wheels are small which makes them unsuitable for difficult terrain, but great for use around town. The stroller features an all-wheel suspension system that cushions the ride significantly and maximizes comfort.

The individual parking brakes are foot-operated and are located behind both rear wheels. Each brake can be controlled by a simple step on the pedal. However, they are not flip-flop friendly.

  • Folding mechanism

It has a two-step folding mechanism that requires both hands to operate. The system is pretty straightforward: pull the canopy back, pull the levers beneath the handlebars and fold it forward. The buggy has an automatic lock and can stand on its own when folded.

The stroller is light and compact making it perfect for use in public transportation. There is also the shoulder strap that makes it even easier to carry around. The stroller is only eleven pounds which allows you to carry it for a long time.

Many parents buy this stroller just because it is so convenient for travel. It can be stored even in a tiny car and, if you purchase the G-Lite bag, you shouldn’t have any problems checking it in at the airport. You might even be able to check it in as carry-on luggage.

  • Maneuverability

When it comes to flat surfaces, this stroller is an absolute delight to push. The buggy is perfect for everyday use in a city environment, as it is easy to steer and lift when necessary. The stroller has an elevated rear bar so that you can comfortably take long strides without worrying about stubbing your toe.

What’s wrong with the product?

– Seat doesn’t recline

The seat doesn’t recline and cannot be used with newborns under any circumstance. While it is still comfortable for sitting, the lack of a recline makes it unsuitable for naps. If your child is fond of their sleep, they might hold a grudge against you if you take them on a long stroll.

– Harness doesn’t have padding

Another feature that was neglected due to its minimalistic design. The lack of harness padding doesn’t compromise on safety, but it does affect the level of comfort.

Conclusion

Even though this is a light and simple stroller, it is made to be sturdy, stylish and agile. With proper care, it will serve your family well and for a long time. A light piece of equipment, such as this, is an absolute must for city parents.

This model will be of excellent service whether you are on a shopping spree at the local mall or on a family vacation. It is simple, and it might not be as comfortable as a heavy-duty stroller, but all the necessary safety features are included. It is a dream come true of every busy parent.
