The Thule Urban Glide 2 is one of the best jogging strollers money can buy. Easy as that!

It’s a stroller designed for parents who like to stay fit and active. It’s a performance stroller, so it’s also more durable than most others. The large air-filled tires keep the stroller stable, and the rear wheel suspension increases maneuverability and ensures a smooth ride for your baby.

There is plenty of storage room for everything you and your baby need. The stroller folds up quickly, and the auto lock keeps it in place for easy storage. The Glide 2 can cope with any terrain, which is why it’s trendy among young moms who like to exercise. The handlebar is adjustable, the canopy is fantastic, all in all, this is a great stroller. Now, let’s dig deeper into all of the features of this stroller.

Features

  • Impressive Canopy

A great jogging stroller has to provide excellent sun coverage for your baby, and this one does that perfectly. The canopy has two large panels with an extra pop-out sun visor. With a UPF 50+ rating, you know that your child will stay safe at all times. The back mesh panel improves air circulation, and a sizeable peekaboo window lets you keep an eye on your baby. You can close it with the magnetic closure system.

  • Adjustable handlebar

The handlebar is adjustable, so it’s suitable for taller and shorter parents alike. You can set it anywhere between 39″ and 45″ from the ground. The entire handlebar is covered with soft foam that increases comfort but is a little hard to clean.

  • Safety wrist strap

The runaway strap is a must for a jogging stroller. The thule urban glide 2 comes with one too, and it’s located on the handlebars.

  • Roomy seat

One thing is for sure, this seat can accommodate an enormous child, up to 75 lbs. The seat is 15 inches wide and 25 inches high. You won’t have a problem fitting kids that are even 6-7 years old, but keeping them inside might be difficult.

The seat stays reclined in all positions. The highest position is almost entirely upright. Same goes for the deepest position. You can control it with the one-hand strap. Since it’s not completely flat, the seat is designed for children over 6 months of age. However, you can convert it into a travel system by adding a car seat.

  • Seat pockets

The seat has two mesh pockets that can hold toys, a sippy cup, or your child’s favorite snack.

  • 5-point harness

The 5-point harness is padded and adjustable. You need to press the two small release buttons located on the buckle to control the harness. The buckle is great because you need to use both hands to open it. Your child will have a hard time escaping.

  • Storage pocket in the back of the seat

The mesh storage pocket for parents in the back of the seat is ideal for holding small items like a wallet, or a smartphone.

  • Large storage basket

The storage basket on the thule urban glide 2 is a little different from what we are used to. It’s big enough to hold most baby-related necessities like diapers, and bottles, but the best thing about it is that you can close it thoroughly with a zipper. That prevents your stuff from jumping out of the basket as you go out for a run. There’s also a small pocket great for holding small items located in the back of the basket.

  • Huge wheels

All three wheels are filled with air. The front swivel wheel has a 12″ tire, and the wheels on the back are 16″ in diameter. You can lock the front wheel straight to get over rough terrain. That’s done with a small knob on the wheel, and it takes only a couple of seconds. There’s also a fender that helps deflect mud and dirt while you’re running. The rims are reflective for increased safety.

The thule urban glide 2 literally glides over most terrain and obstacles with ease!

  • Rear suspension

Since this is a jogger stroller, it’s got a serious suspension system on the back wheels. It keeps the ride smooth and comfortable for your child, even when you hit rough terrain.

  • Twist handbrake

The twist handbrake is very easy to operate, and it increases your control over bumpy terrain and downhill.

  • One hand fold

We really liked the fold on this stroller. There’s a little blue handle under the footrest. You just have to turn it, and the stroller folds up right away. One hand is enough to get the job done, and the auto lock keeps the stroller in place once folded.

Thule Urban Glide 2 Review

What’s wrong with the product?

– Air filled tires

The tires are filled with air, so you need to bring an air-pump with you just in case.

– Location of the runaway strap

You could pull the stroller down with you if you fall because the runaway strap is located on the handlebar.

– Outdated brake

The brakes are stiff and feel outdated.

Conclusion

The thule urban glide 2.0 is one of the best jogging strollers you can buy right now. It’s designed to be durable, stable, and very comfortable for both you and your child. The large wheels allow you to run over any terrain, but they also make the stroller very maneuverable in all conditions.

The storage pocket can be zipped up, so you don’t lose any of your stuff while jogging. The large canopy with improved circulation shields your child from the sun at all times. The seat is large enough to accommodate a 10-year old or a 75-pound kid. So, if jogging and babysitting is your thing, this could be the stroller you need.
