This co-sleeper might just be the only model that can easily glide across any type of floor, including carpet. With the halo bassinest glide sleeper, your baby can sleep soundly, while remaining close to you. Its awesome features make it really beloved among fresh parents.

Like other models of the same brand, the Glide Sleeper has lowering sidewalls that can be locked upright if needed. The bassinet is equipped with gliding discs that enable hassle-free movement. The feature makes the bassinet convenient even at times when you have to get out of bed.

The Glide Sleeper sports a sturdy, four-point base with adjustable height. Its base is designed to be tucked under the bed with ease. You’ll need a thirty-two-inch clearance from the wall, which makes the bassinet great for smaller rooms or nurseries.

The co-sleeper includes a fitted mattress and a couple of other handy accessories. Some of the most prominent features are the coordinating polyester fitted sheet that is also machine washable, storage space, and the waterproof mattress.  The co-sleeper is quite slim, so it doesn’t take up much room, and its sleek look allows it to blend in with the rest of your furniture.

Features

  • Storage

There is plenty of storage space for diaper bags, wipes, and other essentials, so you won’t have to scramble around the room in pursuit of a particular item in the middle of the night. There ought to be enough room left for a snack for yourself. You’ll find a storage pocket on each side.

  • Adjustable Height and Glider

The ability to position your new co-sleeper right next to your bedframe is a considerable advantage when it comes to mid-night nursing. The base of the model tucks right under the bedframe which enables you to align the co-sleeper with the bed, making it easier for you to calm down or hoist your little one without getting out of bed.

The swiveling feature enables the parent to push the sleeper with ease, so you’ll be able to maneuver it without having to worry about waking up your child. Its equipped with gliding disks that allow you to glide the sleeper over almost any kind of floor (carpet as well), without damaging or scratching them, provided that they are clean. It really does allow you to get in and out of bed without much hassle, but be sure to keep your floors clean as the surface might get damaged if debris catches under the disks.

  • Mesh Sidewalls

The seethrough walls are essential for sound sleep of both the mother and the baby. Even if a person is a deep sleeper, once they become a parent they start waking up even when their child produces just a little bit of noise. The ability to simply look over at the sleeper and assure yourself that your child is OK is much appreciated considering that you don’t have to fully wake up for that.

Most co-sleepers have similar mesh sidewalls, but the Glide Sleeper has huge openings which allow you to easily see your child while you are lying down. One side even collapses which is excellent for mothers that had a C-section. The feature allows you to remain in bed and tend to your baby at the same time –  you don’t even need to sit up.

  • The Price

The price of the unit is quite reasonable – especially when compared to other reputable models on the market. Bassinets go up to double, if not triple, in price. Considering that new parents have to spend a lot of money on baby items an opportunity to save some is always welcomed.

  • Room for Growth

Even though it is a bassinet, and just like any other product of the same kind, it cannot be used for a prolonged period. However, the model is quite spacious, and there is some room for growth. If your baby is a little bigger, the Glider will have enough room for them.

  • Mattress and Sheet

The model comes with a fitted sheet and mattress. The mattress is entirely waterproof and therefore a life saver. Many worry that waterproof mattresses might be made of some harmful materials and flame retardants, but it is indeed not the case with this one as it meets all the safety standards.

Babies love making a mess, and it is something that just cannot be avoided. A waterproof mattress will make cleaning up much more manageable. The fitted sheet that comes with the package is completely made out of polyester and is machine washable, or can be wiped down with a damp cloth.

What’s wrong with the product?

-Concerns about safety

Some parents have reported in their reviews that they don’t feel the Glide Sleeper is entirely trustworthy. It is not quite the case, as the product is manufactured to satisfy all of the federal regulations. However, due to its unorthodox base design, one could not possibly believe that it is as safe as a bassinet with for wheels, so the concerns of those parents are understandable.

-Temporary usability

Even though this particular model is larger than your average co-sleeper, it still cannot be used once your child gains the ability to move on their hand and knees, or when they reach a certain height and weight. The fact of the matter is, that all bassinets are designed for temporary use, but it has to be pointed out repeatedly as its a big safety concern.

Conclusion

The Halo brand made a budget-friendly option for families who don’t want to spend too much money on a bassinet. It might not be as good as the other high-end models of the same manufacturer, but it was built to satisfy certain safety standards and is still very convenient to use, thanks to its gliding feature.

It is also an excellent option for mothers who had a C-section, as their movement is limited. It is a convenient option for when you have to get out of bed as well, but if you opt for it, be sure to keep your floors clean as it is necessary for the glider to function properly.
