The Baby Bjorn cradle is designed to give you great supervision of your baby as well. With its price and properties, it certainly falls in the high-end category of bassinets, but it is guaranteed to give you peace of mind once you install it in your bedroom.

Features

  • Safety

The signature feature of all BabyBjorn products. They are renowned for their outstanding design and quality as well. This bassinet has many safety features that set it apart from the vast majority of other bassinets on the market.

The model meets the rigorous Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class I, which not many manufacturers have earned the right to boast of. The aforementioned standard prohibits the use of hazardous chemicals, such as flame retardant substances, in products manufactured for children. Flame retardants are hazardous, as they have been linked to health issues, and are, unfortunately, often used in children products.

All of the materials that comprise the baby bjorn cradle are safe for your child’s soft, delicate skin. The materials are harmless even when the child chews on them or puts them in their mouth, as children are prone to doing.

  • Comfort

What it lacks in extra features, this bassinet makes up for with the coziness it offers. It is compact enough to make the child feel secure and well-protected. The mesh sidewalls are entirely breathable, and they provide excellent airflow. They are also transparent, which allows the parents to keep an eye on their baby all the times.

  • Design

The bassinet is cleverly designed to gently rock each time the child moves. It is equipped with a spring suspension mechanism, that is similar to that of a buggy, that rocks the bassinet smoothly in any direction. Thanks to these features, your baby can be soothed naturally, but it also offers you the possibility to rock the bassinet to relax your newborn as well.

The bassinet comes with a waterproof mattress that most parents report to be quite comfy for their little ones. A waterproof mattress or sheet is always an advantage, as babies love making a mess.

  • Size and Assembly

The fact that it is simultaneously both compact and offers ample room for the baby is amazing. Its compact size allows you to use the bassinet all around the house and keep an eye on your child at all times. Weighing only thirteen pounds, it can easily be picked up and carried around from one room to another and up and down the stairways.

It is compact enough to be used by the bed or in narrow spaces. The bassinet can easily be assembled and disassembled.

All it takes to remove two screws, and it’s all ready for grandma and grandpa’s house or for your vacation destination. Officially, the recommended age of use is until the baby reaches their sixth mo. or eighteen pounds, but in reality, it all depends on your baby’s pace of growth and development.

  • Performance

The numerous features of the BabyBjorn bassinet make its use pretty straightforward. During the hectic times when the family is expanding, simplicity is more than welcome. Many parents who have used the BabyBjorn Cradle are delighted with how easy it is to clean the whole thing.

Many newborn parents forget to look for such features when buying baby products as they have not yet experienced the big 3 Ps (puke, poop, and pee). Accidents are common, and you need to be ready to clean up in a jiffy. The fabric on the bassinet is removable and can be washed in a washing machine.

The mattress pad can be lifted right out of the bassinet, and the mesh sidewalls can be unzipped for fast removal. The manufacturer suggests air-drying to achieve the best result, but machine drying will also do the job.  The product lacks “smart” features, but babies don’t really walk out of the womb demanding smart features in every single product they use.

What’s wrong with the product?

-Price

There is nothing faulty with the bassinet, everything works great, but it comes at a really high price. With the price, you get a guarantee of safety that you won’t get elsewhere and a great product, but no extra features. Since it is a product designed for temporary use, until the baby transfers to a crib, many parents avoid spending too much money on a bassinet, which is reasonable.

There is the possibility of buying extra accessories, like a mesh canopy or a fitted sheet. Those are great and don’t cost much, but they could have been included in the price.

Conclusion

If you are searching for the safest and best-made bedside bassinet on the market, you needn’t look further. The Baby Bjorn Cradle might lack extra accessories, but it is the absolute best when it comes to the most essential things – safety and comfort. On top of that, it is very easy to use and looks charming no matter in which corner of your home you place it.
